D.C.Hyp

Diploma in Clinical Hypnotism and Hypnotherapy

These are the designating letters of having qualified as a hypnotherapist including for clinical, physical and psychiatric issues. The particular diploma is from Britain's Brief Strategic Therapy Foundation. The qualifying exam is vetted and examined by a medical doctor who is also a hypnpotherapist, a hypnosis and therapy expert, and a representative from the Royal Board of Psychiatry. This extra psychiatric check allows graduating hypnotherapists to diagnose, advise, educate, and treat issues with confidence.

This prestigious London Foundation was created from a need for brief, succinct, efficient hypnotherapy. In a profession which treats addictions and dependencies, and accesses the unconscious parts of a person's thinking, the Founders felt it was ethically important to not create a "therapist dependency" and simply transfer the need onto the coach or hypnotherapist.

As such, BST hypnotherapy follows a guideline of moving to a sustainable solution as swiftly as possible to encourage confidence and standing on your own two feet.

The practitioner training course is the first in the UK to have been accredited as a BSc (Hons.) Degree in Clinical Hypnosis.
Prior to this, it was also the first hypnotherapy course in UK history to become a accredited module at University third year level in the faculties of Medicine, Dentistry and Psychology with a leading London University.

Jenny has been a teacher for the BST Foundation on the practitioner course.
